Hacia una diacronía de la oralidad: el inicio de turno y la inmediatez comunicativa en un corpus de traducciones de Plauto y Terencio (ss. XVI y XIX)

Abstract

En este trabajo discutimos la posibilidad de extraer conclusiones de índole diacrónica en el estudio de la oralidad concepcional a partir de la comparación de textos teatrales traducidos de Plauto y Terencio en el siglo XVI y en el siglo XIX. El foco de interés del artículo son las estrategias sintácticas en la posición de inicio de turno conversacional. En el análisis, nos preguntamos si los mecanismos de textualización de la oralidad que se dan en dicha posición tienen continuidad del siglo XVI al XIX o si estos sufren modificaciones importantes. Asimismo, tenemos en cuenta la influencia del texto fuente en la conformación de las estrategias de mimesis de la oralidad en el corpus.

In this work the possibility of deriving diachronic conclusions from the study of conceptual orality in literature is tested. With this purpose, some theatrical translated texts from Plautus and Terence of the 16th and 19th centuries are compared. The research concentrates on syntactic strategies related to the beginning of the dialogical turn. Throughout the analysis I discuss whether mechanisms which shape oral textuality in theatrical literature in the 16th and in the 19th century are the same or they undergo significant variations across time. Furthermore, the influence of Latin source text in the constitution of fictional orality strategies within the corpus is considered.
