Ítem Texto completo enlazado Trayectorias Históricas de los Sistemas Nacionales de Investigación y Desarrollo en los Países de la OCDE(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2024-11-18) Gutiérrez Rojas, Cristián; Smith-Uldall, JeromeResearch and development (R&D) is crucial for promoting knowledge generation as well as the acquisition of new knowledge, so as to enable the development of new products, processes, or services, and improve the existing ones. In this vein, countries make decisions to increase and sustain their innovation efforts and focus on public R&D expenditures. This paper seeks to analyse the pathways of national R&D systems of OECD countries. For this purpose, we conducted a descriptive and exploratory analysis for the period of 2000-2021. We used innovative effort variables, such as R&D intensity, as well as patents as an output variable. The sample consisted of 37 OECD countries, divided into five quintiles according to productivity performance during the study period. The results highlight cases of R&D systems that made a significant leap in productivity during the study period; however, the results also identify cases where a higher R&D intensity does not translate into substantial improvements in productivity. This confirms that innovation is a complex phenomenon where there is not always a guarantee of a positive linear relationship between innovative effort and scientific/technological performance.Ítem Texto completo enlazado Escenarios e innovaciones en el sistema agroindustrial de la provincia de Entre Ríos: aportes desde un enfoque multinivel(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2024-11-18) Valentinuz, Oscar; Siede, Mario; Seiler, Cristhian; Caviglia, OctavioA sustainable future requires harmonizing productive, environmental, and social aspects. This study aims to analyze the main technological and social innovation challenges faced by primary production in an agricultural province of Argentina (Entre Ríos) through a multi- level approach and prospective scenarios. Building on a prior future study that generated narratives of five archetypal scenarios for the provincial agri-food system by 2030, the "transformation" scenario (termed "metamorphosis") was selected, and the required innovations at different levels of the multi-level approach (niche, regime, and landscape) were described to bridge the gap between this desirable scenario and the continuity scenario, i.e. business as usual. Sustainable intensification, digital agriculture, and the diversification of primary production were identified as key innovations for a transition toward the desired scenario, in which state regulations and incentives at the niche and landscape levels also appear essential for advancing along a transitional path.Ítem Texto completo enlazado Innovación y desarrollo productivo en Paraguay. Un análisis de los desafíos postpandemia de la Covid19(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2024-11-04) Olmedo Barchello, SelvaInnovation is a strategic objective for achieving inclusive economic growth; therefore, strengthening local research, development, and innovation capacities is necessary and challenging for Paraguay. Thus, the study aims to identify the main post-pandemic challenges for innovation and productive development for Paraguay in 2020-2022. The methodology applied is qualitative-quantitative, through a review of the literature in this field and the use of databases of national and international organizations. The results show a low innovative capacity and, therefore, a low productive development. In conclusion, this leads to the question of the direction that should be taken or the foundations on which to prioritize Paraguay's productive transformation towards a post- pandemic era, in which it is crucial to have local strategic capacities.Ítem Texto completo enlazado Un modelo de gestión de la transformación digital para la innovación(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2024-11-04) Medellín Cabrera, Enrique AlbertoDigital transformation is driven by new digital technologies, which are strongly impacting value chains, forms of organization and production, distribution channels, business models and the way in which innovation is carried out in companies and their allies. For this reason, it is important to understand the phenomenon, size it and develop organizational design proposals that facilitate managing it appropriately. Considering the above, this article aims to identify the relationship between digital transformation and innovation in companies, to determine how capabilities can be developed that allow reinforcing innovation processes. To this end, a model is proposed that correlates the management of digital technology and innovation with digital transformation, in such a way that there is a reference framework, guidelines and tools for its organizational deployment.Ítem Texto completo enlazado Kuit: el compromiso de una empresa con la sostenibilidad a través del desarrollo tecnológico(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2024-10-18) Silva-Flores, Martha; Serrano, CarlosThis article is a case study that aims to show how Kuit, a social enterprise, addresses the challenge of technological management while meeting its social, environmental and economic business objectives. The study examines innovation through technological development as part of a business strategy to promote ethical and sustainable business practices, which are focused on the health and well-being of people through the production and distribution of kombucha. The relevance of the case study lies in showing the technological management strategy implemented by the founders of Kuit, which has led them to a process innovation and a patent application. This innovation has been recognized by the Secretariat of Innovation, Science and Technology of the State of Jalisco, with Kuit being one of the five finalists for the 2021 Jalisco Innovation Award. Innovation has allowed Kuit to be a sustainable company both technically and financially, fulfilling its social and environmental mission.Ítem Texto completo enlazado Innovación y edad de las empresas: un estudio en empresas argentinas de software(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Fondo Editorial, 2016-05-26) Seclén, Jean PierreIn this paper, we analyse the importance of innovation management in companies. Themultilevel approach allows us to understand the phenomenon of innovation both fromthe perspective of the business manager and the policy maker, since the innovationecosystem appears to play a key role in promoting innovative capacity in a given territory. While management models of innovation have changed over time, most of themhave focused on large industrial enterprises without taking into account SMEs in generaland micro-enterprises in particular, making it necessary to perform further studieson the innovation capacity of companies with this size.Ítem Texto completo enlazado La innovación en la micro y la pequeña empresa (MYPE): no solo factible, sino accesible(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Fondo Editorial, 2017-08-29) Ponce Regalado, Fátima; Zevallos Vallejos, EmilioThe present paper seeks to point out that innovation is also accessible and necessary for the micro and small entreprises (MSE) in Latin America. But it is not given as traditionally understood as associated to technology. The hypothesis is that innovate in the MSE is not impossible nor necessarily expensive; on the contrary it is necessary and feasible, but different because it is related less to techonology than to processes or management models. In fact, several of these small businesses are making that in order to promote their growth and sustainability. To evidence this hypothesis and show that the regional innovation is rather in processes and/or management models, aspects where small firms have great opportunities to innovate and improve their productivity, this work analyzes statistics both in Costa Rica and Peru. The purpose is to define the MSEs main features, the owners skills and their innovation environment, in order to make visible its competences and the kind of innovation focus more in processes and management models and less in products or technology. It also presents two successful cases in generation of innovations with the purpose of presenting how the MSE are able to apply new measures and redirect their course when necessary.Ítem Texto completo enlazado Educating innovative and critical thinking managers(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Fondo Editorial, 2019-09-25) García Lirios, Cruz; Carreón Guillén, Javier; Rincón Ornelas, Rosa María; Bolivar Mojica, Eyder; Sanchez Sánchez, Arturo; Bermudez Ruiz, GilbertoOften, knowledge-generating organizations have been studied from the influence of their culture, structure and flexible and innovative processes, or from the influence of their leadership and the continuous training of their talents. In the present work, a higher education institution was well researched from the topics established in the specialized literature from 2010 to 2018, the discourses of key informants and the reliability as well as the validity of an instrument that measured its underlying factors. For this purpose, three investigations were carried out: One documentary, another qualitative and another correlational in order to specify a model for the study of the phenomenon in question. The results show a prevalence of knowledge generation as a second order construct and a representation of its dimensions around the categories of «alliances», «networks» and «climates», as well as a factorial structure around the motivation, innovation and communication of opportunities based on resources and capabilities. Lines concerning empathy, commitment and satisfaction are seen as factors that would increase the percentage of the total variance explained, which was 54%.
