Fetichismo del signo e interrupción alegórica

Abstract

This paper explores the rhetorical intersection between sign fetishism and allegorical interruption in Walter Benjamin’s critique of the philosophy of art’s discourse. To achieve this goal, it uses an expository interpretation to focus on the discursive moments that bring the phantasmagoric representation of signs into a dialectical tension with an allegorical, materialist reading of an indiciary type. In the conclusions, I discuss how this dialectical tension plays out in relation to the staging of historical temporality and its rhetorical-aesthetical reliefs.

El propósito de este trabajo reside en abordar la intersección retórica entre el fetichismo del signo y la interrupción alegórica en el discurso de la crítica de la filosofía del arte de Walter Benjamin. Para esta tarea, mediante una vía de interpretación expositiva, nos detendremos en momentos discursivos que ponen en tensión dialéctica la representación fantasmagórica de los signos con una lectura alegórica materialista de tipo indiciaria. En las conclusiones, reconsideraremos cómo es dada esta tensión dialéctica en función de la escenificación de la temporalidad histórica y sus relieves retórico-estéticos.
