Abstract
El objetivo del presente trabajo es doble; por un lado, busca establecer un marco para la evaluación de la experiencia de reforma arancelaria ocurrida a inicios de la década de los ochenta; y por otro lado, analiza en el marco de un modelo simple de oferta y demanda los efectos de una desgración comercial sobre el nivel de producto, empleo e importaciones industriales.
A twofold objective underlies this document. One is to create a framework to assess the tariff reform at the beginning of the 1980s. The other is to examine a simple supply-demand model to determine the impact of trade tariff removal on output, employment and industrial imports.
