La idea de cambio en la filosofía temprana de Simone Weil

Abstract

“The Idea of Change in Simone Weil’s Early Philosophy”. Given that Simone Weil’s oeuvre is characterized by profound reflections on time, which she consistently regarded as the ontological and cognitive instance through which the feeling of human reality acquires meaning, this paper seeks to elucidate the concept of change, which plays a central role in her early philosophy and, in my view, sheds light on the temporal categories of her later work. To achieve this, I examine the dual epistemological condition of human perception posited by Weil in several key texts from her early period –namely, the change present in all phenomena perceived in time and space, and the immobility of the object of thought–. Additionally, I explore the implications of this concept for human understanding of the world.

Teniendo en cuenta que toda la obra de Simone Weil está atravesada por hondas reflexiones sobre el tema del tiempo, por cuanto para ella se trató siempre de la instancia ontológica y cognitiva a partir de la cual cobra sentido el sentimiento de la realidad humana, en el presente artículo nos ocuparemos de esclarecer el concepto de cambio, el cual fue determinante en su filosofía temprana, y que, creemos, diluida las categorías temporales de la época de madurez de esta filósofa. Para alcanzar este objetivo, nos centraremos en estudiar la condición epistemológica dual de la percepción humana que plantea esta pensadora en algunos textos clave de su época de juventud –cambio presente en todo fenómeno percibido en el tiempo y el espacio, e inmovilidad del objeto pensado– y sus implicaciones en la comprensión humana del mundo.
