In Peru, of a total of 8.2 million households, 7.8%, that is more than four hundred and ten thousand people are single mothers according to the census carried out by the INEI in 2017, while in the 2007 census it was 5.6%. The proportion of single mothers compared to single fathers has increased slightly, representing almost 85% of cases. Added to this is the fact that women are in an unfavorable position as a social group in Peru, since they present greater social and labor barriers which makes it more difficult to access the same benefits as men; and additionally, there is a greater frequency of cases of abandonment of the home in which it is the mothers who are the ones, to which it is added that it is much more frequent that in cases of abandonment it is the mothers who assume responsibility for their children (INEI, 2019 ). The basis of this work focuses on promoting the development of single mothers between 20 and 45 years of sectors D and E of the district of Villa Maria del Triunfo (Lima) with children under 18 years, since, as evidenced in each from the interview sessions with the users, there is a clear need, as well as a willingness to move forward. And from this last term comes the name of the proposed solution of this work, which is expressed colloquially as “Pa Lante”. The viable solution proposed seeks to link the demand of a broad market that, despite having competition, has ample potential to capture consumers of the cleaning, pedicure and manicure services at home. In turn, this proposal allows mothers to have a paid and honest job that allows them to fulfill their responsibilities towards their children. The services offered are jobs of low and medium complexity, which allows more mothers to enter the job quickly and specialize based on their abilities over time. The financial model demonstrates the potential for sustainable development over time to offer a quality service while allowing mothers to develop and thus generate an impact on their lives and society in a scalable way.
