Abstract
It is shown that if the integral operator (Hilbert-Schmidt, non nuclearand non-normal) onL2(0,1), (Aρf)(θ) =∫10ρ(θx)f(x)dx, where ρ is the fractional part function, belongs to a geometrically stable idealJ,thenτ(Aρ) = 0 for every non-trivial singular trace τ on J.
