Formando nuevas miradas: Enseñanza profesional de la cinematografía como herramienta para la autorrepresentación de las personas afrodescendientes en México

Abstract

The representation in films of Afro-descendants has been narrated from a hegemonic point of view that observes from the center to the periphery, therefore, the discourses that have been constructed in this frame contain many stereotypes that are transmitted from generation to generation and perpetuates alterophobia. Learning filmmaking could favor the self-representation of Afro-descendants, giving them the ability to generate their own discourses that allow the preservation and inheritance of their culture, as well as its public manifestation in order to achieve authentic recognition in the public sphere.La representación cinematográfica de las personas afrodescendientes ha sido narrada desde una mirada hegemónica que observa desde el centro hacia la periferia. Esto incide en que los discursos que se han construido al respecto están cargados de estereotipos que se transmiten de generación en generación y sostienen la alterofobia. El aprendizaje de la realización cinematográfica podría favorecer la autorrepresentación de las personas afrodescendientes, dándoles la posibilidad de generar discursos propios que permitan la preservación y herencia de su cultura, así como su manifestación ante la sociedad para lograr un reconocimiento auténtico en la esfera pública.
