Abstract
This paper reviews the way in which some virtual affinity spaces in which the 'correct' use of written language is sought to be disseminated are configured. Through the identification of linguistic ideologies that relate the correct spelling to a higher social status, the internal and external structure of the affinity spaces composed of two solidly defined identity groups from various registration processes is presented. Additionally, the possibility of identifying a racialized discourse around subjects who do not present a correct use of the orthographic norms is explored. This speech classifies users who make spelling mistakes as ‘ignorant’ and ‘stubborn’.
