The uncontrolled burning of end of life tires (NFU) or their inadequate disposal in dumps, oceans or rivers, generates a social problem due to environmental and soil contamination that contributes to global climate change with a high degree of criticality. The project is aimed at carrying out the proper disposal of end of life tires to reduce pollution through the application of a circular economy in compliance with the new special regime of NFU granted by the Ministry of the Environment of Peru (MINAM) that regulates the collection, transformation and valuation of these. The target market segment is made up of companies dedicated to the road construction and maintenance sector under public and private concessions in Peru. Consequently, strategic partnerships will be sought with companies that generate NFU that will serve as raw material suppliers for the responsible valuation of tire waste, receiving certificates of final disposal of solid waste in compliance with the new regulations of MINAM Solid Waste Comprehensive Management Law. In order to validate the hypothesis and viability of the business project, surveys were carried out with 35 representatives of companies in the target market, obtaining the possibility of acquiring road modified asphalt with NFU powder at USD $390 including general sales tax (IGV) per ton traded. To validate, Montecarlo simulations were used, obtaining USD $2,992.40 of a customer lifetime revenue (LTV), with a customer acquisition cost (CAC) of USD $789.24, whose resulting quotient is greater than 3. Finally, carry out the production and sales projections for the next five years, financial results were obtained such as net present value (VNA) equal to USD $1,004,403, return interest rate (IRR) of 45.45%, as well as a Social VNA of USD $2’480,879, to impact of the sustainable development goal (SDGs) No. 12 on responsible production and consumption....

¿Educación ambiental o educación para el desarrollo sostenible? El sentido ético de la educación ambiental
(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2023-07-25)
Since the 1960s it has become clear that a development model focused on economic growth would erode environmental systems (through pollution, deforestation, soil degradation, climate change, loss of biodiversity, etc.) and exacerbate social conflicts (through violence, migration, poverty, food insecurity and other phenomena). As mechanisms to help reverse the damage and balance the relationship with nature, the United Nations formulated educational strategies aimed at harmonizing the relationships of human beings with the environment. Initially they spoke of environmental education and in later years education for sustainable development. This article reflects on the international perspective on issues such as development, sustainability, and environmental education to then dive into the concept of environmental education and its various interpretations. Furthermore, it enters the debate on “education for sustainable development” to bring out the most significant vicissitudes in the understanding of development. Finally, it addresses the importance of environmental education at school and underscores the relevance of ethics in the approach to that environmental education....
