Korean popular culture is expanding around the world through k pop and k dramas, which attached importance to esthetic and the image of their artists. The bibliography reviewed presents the features of the Hallyu followers in Peru, the masculinity perception of young Peruvian boys, and the promotion of the so-called ‘soft masculinity’ that projects Hallyu through dramas and k-pop. This paper has its conceptual framework, to begin with, artistic capitalism because this investigation focus on the influence that Hallyu has achieved concerning the kind of masculinity and masculine beauty that promotes through the introduction of its artists. Therefore, the investigation was realized from an ethnographic approach and introduced to the field through a non-probabilistic sampling of the snow bowl. Hence, it is planned to perform: a participant observation into the Facebook communities of doramaniacas, surveys to the followers from a Facebook account created to reunite the whole universe of study, and finally in-depth interviews. The bibliography reviewed leads to conclude that studies about the arrival of Hallyu in Latin America achieve to capture the principal features of the influence through methods more quantitative than qualitative. Consequently, I consider important to carry out a qualitative study that gathers the information from the context of the screened individual and from its own words.
