Abstract
El presente trabajo busca analizar los alcances narrativos, conceptuales y audiovisuales del
cortometraje Falso Despertar, el cual fue coproducido con la Pontificia Universidad Católica
del Perú en el año 2022. Este cortometraje se basa en el viaje onírico que atraviesa Felipe, un
joven que padece una condición que le impide soñar desde hace mucho tiempo. El camino que
recorre el personaje lo termina arrojando a una serie de sueños que presentarán elementos que
representan algunos de sus pensamientos y preocupaciones, lo cual lo hará – a la fuerza –
atravesar un proceso de autodescubrimiento. Este cortometraje tiene como fin, plantear a los
espectadores el ejercicio de observar nuestros sueños e identificar los elementos que hay en
ellos y que nos invitan a conocernos mejor. Consideramos que este proyecto puede calar en
aquellos que se den la oportunidad de explorar en el mundo onírico y encontrar en él algunos
elementos que nos ayuden a relacionarnos con el mundo de una manera más sensitiva y a la
vez, conocer aspectos de nosotros mismos que desconocíamos.
The present work looks for to analyze the narrative, conceptual and audiovisual scope of the short film Falso Despertar, which was co-produced with the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in 2022. This short film is based on the dreamlike journey that Felipe, a young man suffering from a condition that prevents him from dreaming for a long time. The path that the character recovers ends up throwing him into a series of dreams that manifest elements that represent some of his thoughts and suspicions, which will force him to go through a process of self-discovery. This short film aims to present viewers with the exercise of observing our dreams and identifying the elements that are in them and that invite us to get to know ourselves better. We believe that this project can permeate those who give themselves the opportunity to explore the dream world and find in it some elements that help us relate to the world in a more sensitive way and, at the same time, discover aspects of ourselves that we did not know.
