Resumen
La presente investigación de tesis tiene como objetivo principal el análisis realizado a
la empresa Ferrocarril Transandino S.A. empresa ganadora del concurso público
internacional, mediante la cual tomo en concesión durante un periodo de 30 años y
posteriormente fue ampliado 5 años más, la administración, mejoras y mantenimiento de la
vía férrea en el Sur y Sur-Oriente del Perú. Esto representa un total de 980 kilómetros de vía,
desde el inicio de sus operaciones en Septiembre de 1999, Ferrocarril Transandino S.A. ha
concentrado sus trabajos en mejorar la condición de seguridad de la vía férrea en las líneas
antes mencionadas, las cuales contaban con algunos tramos en situación de alto riesgo, en los
últimos años Ferrocarril Transandino invirtió en infraestructura y tecnología en el desarrollo
de la Vía férrea del Sur y Suroriente del país, pero con la pandemia generada por el COVID 19 la empresa vio reducidos sus ingresos considerablemente debido a las prohibiciones de
movilidad que normo el Estado peruano lo cual afecto directamente a varias actividades
económicas del país en las cuales se encuentra el turismo que es parte importante para los
ingresos de la empresa, ante la falta de turismo en el país los trenes de pasajeros se detuvieron
y los ingresos en el tramos sur y sur oriente se redujeron significativamente esto generó
graves problemas económicos para la empresa la cual debe plantear una estrategia que ayude
a palear la coyuntura actual, la empresa no considera realizar proyectos y mejoras
tecnológicas que le podrían generar ventajas económicas a largo plazo, por el contrario tiene
la necesidad de reducir sus inversión y gasto a lo mínimo posible en lo que resta de este año y
el año siguiente esto, hasta que el turismo como actividad económica se recupere, por tal
motivo es necesario analizar en que se podría generar ahorros significativos y también
contemplar la posibilidad de una alternativa de negocio distinta que tenga una baja inversión
y un retorno a corto plazo esto para poder solventar las pérdidas generadas por la disminución
de trenes a raíz de la pandemia generada por el COVID - 19.
The main objective of this thesis research is the analysis carried out on the company Ferrocarril Transandino S.A. Winner of the international public tender, through which it took in concession for a period of 30 years and later it was extended for 5 more years, the administration, improvements and maintenance of the railway in the South and South-East of Perú. This represents a total of 980 kilometers of track, since the beginning of its operations in September 1999, Ferrocarril Transandino S.A. has concentrated its work on improving the safety condition of the railroad on the aforementioned lines, which had some sections in a high risk situation, in recent years the Transandino Railroad invested in infrastructure and technology in the development of the railroad of the South and Southeast of the country, but with the pandemic generated by COVID- 19, the company saw its income reduced considerably due to the mobility bans that the Peruvian state regulates, which directly affected several economic activities in the country in which the company is located. Tourism, which is an important part of the company's income, due to the lack of tourism in the country, passenger trains stopped and income in the south and south-east sections was significantly reduced, this generated serious economic problems for the company, which must propose a strategy that helps to shovel the current situation, the company does not consider carrying out projects and better other technological times that could generate long-term economic advantages, on the contrary, you have the need to reduce your investment and spending to the minimum possible in the remainder of this year and the following year, until tourism as an economic activity recovers For this reason, it is necessary to analyze in which significant savings could be generated and also consider the possibility of a different business alternative that has a low investment and a short-term return, this in order to solve the losses generated by the decrease in trains as a result of the pandemic generated by COVID- 19.
