Abstract
The decentralization process in Peru results in the Peruvian state not being a purely unitarystate anymore, but a decentralized state. In addition to the national government, regionalgovernments with their own competencies have been installed. In recent years, regionalgovernments have passed legislation on the region´s symbols. The aim of this analysis isto analyse whether this legislation on regional symbols is constitutional or not.
