In this thesis we seek to carry out the operative business diagnosis of Sociedad Minera Corona SA Yauricocha Unit, with the objective of analyzing and contributing with recommendations acquired during the training time in the master's degree in Strategic Business Administration, about the current operational situation of the company and determine opportunities for improvement that can increase their profitability, as well as maximizing their efficiency and effectiveness in their operations and therefore the production of polymetallic minerals. In this operative diagnosis, we will detail important factors for the operation of the mining plant, as well as suggestions for obtaining a benefit in the processes and products of the company, to ensure that the product meets the quality specifications requested by the customer. The chapters of programming of operations, aggregate planning, cost management, logistics, maintenance, quality and supply chain, have allowed us to know the opportunities for improvement that Yauricocha has to increase the efficiency of its production process. Among the main proposals for improvement are: (a) Implement a larger plant that allows us to process more tonnage of raw material (b) Expand the reliever to store plant waste, which avoids high fines from state institutions that monitor compliance environmental, and (c) Training in linear programming and automation software’s and mine modeling to different areas, (d) minimize transport costs to plant. The amount of savings projected to implement the main improvement proposals is US $ 62,848,000.00, with an investment of US $ 47,195,970.00. and a benefit of US $ 16,292,030.00.
