In South America and especially in Peru, there are navigable rivers that are means of transport and communication for communities far from the central government and that are not being used in the best way, this is related to the little development and investment in infrastructure that governments have dedicated to their population in recent years (CEPAL,2020). the affected population is those who live in the areas surrounding the rivers, especially those of the Peruvian Amazon. In terms of volume, river navigation represents the third mode of transport for exports and imports, however, transport in this sector does not have the economic value that land, and air transport does (BID,2021) In recent years there has been an interesting growth in the share of river transport and trade in terms of value, which requires better logistics performance, as well as a more sustainable use of the natural resources of these regions and technological changes in addition to engineering resources, which indicates that there is a tendency to consider river transport as a more attractive option despite the Limitations mentioned above. (CEPAL,2020). Therefore, there is a need to develop a company that provides high-quality naval engineering and architecture services to develop the sector and collaborate with the communities of these geographies. The value proposition is the implementation of a transport service that includes a fleet with boats with an innovative design and manufactured with the appropriate material to provide a safe and comfortable river transport service in the navigable rivers of Peru. This model is profitable with a return on investment within 5 years with an IRR of 11%, sustainable given the materials to be considered for the construction of the boats and can generate a positive impact in the region, applying a replicable and extensible model in the river sector.
