Inclusive, nuestro
trabajo se vio reconocido por el Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas,
quienes sostuvieron una entrevista con nosotras. Consideramos valioso, a
La Antígona is a student-funded digital journalism platform with the aim of highlighting the role of women in the public sphere. This project was constructed and worked on by a team of seven students. However, this document presents the perspectives of two of them, and their roles as web designer and audio editor. We have used an attractive design, multimedia journalism such as podcasts, and, most of all, deep investigative journalism of a variety of topics. Our work was recognized by the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, as they conducted an interview with us. We consider this document valuable as we share our experiences and lessons learned in our respective roles in the project, which can in turn serve other future projects, especially those relating to journalism with a gender perspective. This investigation includes our reflections on our experiences as web designer and audio editors of La Antígona, using theories such as those of Penny McIntire and López Linares, among others. We highlight the importance of a platform in digital media that focuses on the role of women in the public sphere, especially in the current pandemic context we live in and in a country that still has a long way to go in gender equality. It is our hope that this project becomes a precedent for the inclusion of female topics, with all their diversity, depth and voices, in peruvian journalism in the future.
