Resumen
El presente trabajo de investigación ha tenido como finalidad realizar el diagnóstico
operativo empresarial a la compañía Alfa Laval, empresa dedicada al suministro de equipos,
repuestos y servicios de mantenimiento, con el propósito el generar propuestas de mejora que
generen valor para la empresa en caso se decida aplicarlas.
La tesis comprende 15 capítulos en los que se analizan temas relacionados con la
descripción de la empresa, sus objetivos, ubicación y dimensionamiento de planta, diseño de
producto, procesos, planeamiento y diseño de planta, planeamiento y diseño del trabajo,
planeamiento agregado, programación de operaciones productivas, gestión logística, gestión
de costos, gestión y control de calidad, gestión de mantenimiento, y cadena de suministro.
Cada capítulo de este documento cuenta con una propuesta de mejora de acuerdo al análisis
realizado buscando implementar los conocimientos obtenidos y aplicarlos a la realidad
empresarial con la finalidad de mejorar los procesos y generar un impacto económico a favor
de la gestión de las operaciones de Alfa Laval. Las propuestas de mejora buscan incrementar
el valor de la gestión de operaciones generando ahorros sensibles a la empresa.
Las propuestas de mejora tienen un costo estimado de US$ 237,816.00 dólares con lo
cual se genera un ahorro anual de US$ 192,600 dólares que representan el 10% de las ventas
del año 2016. Con ello la empresa sería más competitiva en el sector siendo una opción
inmejorable para sus clientes
The purpose of this research work was to carry out the operational business diagnosis of the company Alfa Laval, an organization dedicated to the supply of equipment, spare parts and maintenance services, with the purpose of generating proposals for improvement that generate value for the company in case it is decided to apply them. The thesis includes 15 chapters, where topics related to description of the company, their goals, plant location and sizing, product design, product planning and design, planning and process design, work planning and design, aggregate planning, programming of productive operations, logistics management, cost management, management and quality control, maintenance management, and supply chain will be analyzed. Each chapter of this document has a proposal for improvement according to the analysis carried out seeking to implement the knowledge obtained and apply it to the business reality in order to improve the processes and generate an economic impact in favor of the management of Alfa Laval operations. . Improvement proposals seek to increase the value of operations management, generating significant savings to the organization The proposed improvements have an estimated cost of US$ 237,816.00 dollars, which generates an annual saving of US$ 192,600 dollars, that representing 10% of the sales of the year 2016.
