This research seeks to analyze the incidence of music learning in children and young people, specifically investigating the development of skills such as selfesteem, autonomy and freedom and the importance of the values that are promoted and the bonds that are generated in this space. To this end, the participants of the Sinfonía por el Perú Project have been taken into account, a space that teaches music constantly and free of charge to children and young people from different vulnerable areas of the country. It is a project promoted by Juan Diego Florez, and currently benefits more than 7,000 participants throughout the national territory. In this way, Sinfonía por el Perú acts as a space for the democratization of opportunities, since it not only provides musical abilities to children and young people with low resources, but also, through this art, they also develop other skills and abilities that allow them to be on equal terms with their peers of better economic situations. For the present investigation, one of the Nuclei of the Project was taken, that of Manchay, since it was one of the first to be trained and is considered as the most representative of the entire Network. To obtain the necessary information, a qualitative methodology was followed and two main instruments were used, interviews and participant observation. Among the conclusions that stand out, it was identified that the participants of the Manchay Nucleus did manage to develop a better self-esteem and autonomy, skills that reached not only by the musical learning, but mainly by the joint work that they developed with their peers when recognizing the importance of empathy, joint work, respect for the other and commitment for the work to achieve good results. Finally, it was identified that the aforementioned capacities allowed the participants to empower themselves and to think about their own life projects, trusting in their capacities and the achievement of the proposed objectives, characteristics that place them on equal terms with their better peers. economic conditions.
