Resumen
Este documento es un plan estratégico creado para la industria pesquera alimentaria en el
Perú, para el período 2016-2026, con el objetivo de lograr el desarrollo de esta industria
incrementando sus niveles de productividad y de competitividad para que pueda consolidarse
en el mercado nacional y exportar a América Latina, con una producción eficiente, al
incorporar tecnología de punta y capacitar a su personal. Para ello se necesita formalizar a
todos los entes pesqueros, promoviendo la asociación de los mismos, para que en conjunto se
beneficien de acceso al mercado y a préstamos del sistema financiero nacional. La visión se
muestra de manera cuantificada a través de los siguientes objetivos de largo plazo para el año
2026: (a) Las ventas de conservas al mercado nacional ascenderán a 49,200 TM; (b) la
producción pesquera en conservas será de 91,800 TM; (c) Perú exportará 42,900 TM de
conservas; (d) la industria generará el 40% de sus ingresos a partir de productos introducidos
en el periodo 2016-2026; y (e) el 90% de las empresas transformadoras del recurso
hidrobiológico peruano tendrán las certificaciones HACCP e ISO 9001. La forma como se
lograrán los OLP y con ella la visión es a través de la implementación de las siguientes
estrategias: (a) Desarrollar conservas bajo el concepto "directo a la mesa"; (b) desarrollar
productos en empaques innovadores como doy-packs o bolsas, que permitan la conversación;
(c) desarrollar el mercado nacional de conservas de especies sub explotadas; (d) desarrollar el
mercado de Brasil, que es el principal mercado en América Latina; (e) crear alianzas con
empresas consultoras y certificadoras de calidad; (f) diversificarse concéntricamente al hacer
conservas de la pesca actual en nuevos formatos; (g) diversificarse horizontalmente al
incrementar las variedades pescadas; (h) integrarse verticalmente hacia atrás al establecer
fábrica de empaques; y (i) penetrar el canal tradicional en el mercado nacional, para
incrementar el consumo per cápita; entre otras
This document is a strategic plan created for the seafood industry in Peru for the period 2016- 2026, with the objective of achieving the development of this industry by increasing its levels of productivity and competitiveness so that it can be consolidated in the national market, as well as exporting to Latin America, with an efficient production, incorporating cutting-edge technology and training its personnel. For this, it is necessary to formalize all fishing entities, promoting the association of them, to jointly benefit from access to the market and loans from the national financial system. The vision is quantified through the following long-term objectives for the year 2026: (a) Sales of preserves to the national market will amount to 49,200 MT; (b) canned fishery production will be 91,800 MT; (c) Peru will export 42,900 MT of preserves; (d) the industry will generate 40% of its revenues from products introduced in the period 2016-2026; and (e) 90% of the companies transforming the Peruvian hydrobiological resource will have the HACCP and ISO 9001 certifications. The way in which the long term goals will be achieved is through the implementation of the following strategies: (a) To develop preserves under the concept "direct to the table"; (b) developing products in innovative packaging such as doy-packs or bags, allowing conversation; (c) developing the domestic market for canned foods of diverse species; (d) developing the Brazilian market, which is the main market in Latin America; (e) create alliances with quality consulting and certification companies; (f) diversifying concentrically by preserving current fishing in new formats; (g) diversify horizontally by increasing the varieties fished; (h) integrating vertically backwards when establishing packing factory; and (i) penetrate the traditional channel in the national market, to increase per capita consumption; among others
