Abstract
Unequal distribution in Peru: Dimensions builds on efforts of the Department of Economics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru to contribute studies on a current and relevant problem of the Peruvian economy. Following our tradition to dress these topics, along the eight chapters of this book the authors analyze distribution inequality in Peru through the study of its historical, macroeconomic and regional dimensions, as well as dwell on specific issues such as access to public services, water, the influence of social status and gender in the labor market and micro-credits. The need to approach the issue of inequality from different dimensions raises once again the question about what kind of equality is acceptable.
