Employees' turnover is one of the most serious and researched problems in the literature on the workforce, due to the high costs it generates for companies, such as selection processes and induction days. In recent years, Peru has been ranked as one of the countries with the highest average employee turnover in Latin America, so that talent retention practices become strategic so that companies do not suffer the effects and costs of turnover. In the last two decades, job embeddedness has been considered as one of the main strategies for its solution; in addition, its influence on the permanence of people in their jobs has been developed and proven. For this reason, the present research seeks to explore the relationship between work-life balance and job embeddedness, since it is a variable associated with its increase. The study involved 101 Peruvian employees of a private company specializing in IT services. By means of a simple linear regression analysis, it was found that 26.4% of the variance of job embeddedness was explained by the work-life balance. Finally, it was concluded that those who work in the virtual mode tend to be more embedded than those who work in the hybrid mode.
