Abstract
La presente Tesis aborda la problemática del déficit de aprendizaje que sufren los
estudiantes de educación primaria y secundaria del Perú a causa de la pandemia COVID19 y cuya necesidad de nivelación académica es cada vez más compleja para los padres
de familia. Es por ello que se plantea como solución y propuesta de negocio un programa
de apoyo académico virtual y presencial que permita a los estudiantes superar sus
limitaciones académicas, aplicando de manera innovadora la Teoría de Restricciones
(TOC) al sector educativo. La hipótesis propuesta busca determinar si más del 50% de los
padres de familia de los sectores A, B y C de Lima Metropolitana necesitan que sus hijos
reciban orientación académica y si están dispuestos a pagar 200 soles mensuales por ellas.
Para validar esta hipótesis se realizaron entrevistas a los padres de familia como
clientes potenciales, se desarrolló un estudio de mercado y un plan de negocio enfocado a
solucionar la problemática de los estudiantes. Los resultados demostraron que Lima
Metropolitana concentra el 25% de la población estudiantil del Perú y que en esta área
hay más de un millón de estudiantes con déficit de aprendizaje, de los cuales, según los
padres de familia, el 90% necesita asesoría adicional para sus hijos y por la cual estarían
dispuestos a pagar un promedio de 238 soles mensuales. Asimismo, se encontró que el
mercado educativo es lo suficientemente grande y la propuesta de negocio tan
significativamente diferenciada como para tomar el 0.898% de este en cinco años. El
VAN del proyecto fue de USD 1’1379,901 con una TIR de 132% y un punto de equilibrio
de 28 meses. La rentabilidad social se estimó en USD 3’475,694 con una duración total
del proyecto de 343 días. En conclusión, los resultados demuestran que la propuesta de
negocio planteada contribuirá en reducir el déficit de aprendizaje de los educandos de
primaria y secundaria de Lima Metropolitana de forma económica, ambiental y
socialmente rentable.
This thesis addresses the problem of the learning deficit suffered by primary and secondary education students in Peru due to the COVID-19 pandemic and whose need for academic leveling is increasingly complex for parents. That is why a virtual and face-toface academic support program is proposed as a solution and business proposal that allows students to overcome their academic limitations, innovatively applying the Theory of Restrictions (TOC) to the educational sector. The proposed hypothesis seeks to determine if more than 50% of parents in sectors A, B and C of Metropolitan Lima need their children to receive academic guidance and if they are willing to pay 200 soles per month for them. To validate this hypothesis, interviews were conducted with parents as potential customers, a market study and a business plan focused on solving student problems were developed. The results showed that Metropolitan Lima concentrates 25% of the student population of Peru and that in this area there are more than a million students with learning deficits, of whom, according to parents, 90% need additional advice to their children and for which they would be willing to pay an average of 238 soles per month. Likewise, it was found that the educational market is large enough and the business proposal so significantly differentiated as to take 0.898% of it in five years. The NPV of the project was USD 1’1379,901 with an IRR of 132% and a break-even point of 28 months. The social profitability was estimated at USD 3’475,694 with a total duration of the project of 343 days. In conclusion, the results show that the proposed business proposal will contribute to reducing the learning deficit of primary and secondary students in Metropolitan Lima in an economically, environmentally and socially profitable way.
