Abstract
The study seeks to analyze the five fundamental pillars for the development of rural community tourism implemented by the Peruvian government in 2008 through MINCETUR in Alis, Carania and Laraos. The objective is to identify the presence and correct application of these key factors in the mentioned tourism locations in the Nor-Yauyos region. The research presents a qualitative cross-sectional or transactional format with a descriptive scope, where three tools were used: semi-structured interviews with authorities and residents of each district, literature review and observation. The conclusion is that the three analyzed districts have natural and cultural tourist attractions, however, they vary in every location. The greatest weakness is the lack of knowledge regarding the potential development of this type of tourism, as well as the benefits that it would bring to their communities. We concluded that the analyzed communities have an incipient insight into the rural tourism model community, however, they lack knowledge and training to manage structural changes that allow an increase in new businesses.
