The purpose of this project is the launch of AWA, an innovative product that integrates a combination of chemical compounds into a four-gram powder sachet for water purification. This innovative system is complemented by a reusable dispenser that acts as a decantation system to separate water waste. The business proposal focuses on offering a low-cost and easy-to-use solution, enabling affordable and practical access to high-quality water. It is expected that the product will strongly position itself in the market in various wholesale and retail stores in Peru, generating a significant impact compared to its main competitors. According to the National Superintendence of Sanitation Services, 3.3 million Peruvians do not have access to a public drinking water network, and 6.4 million do not have sewer connections (Gobierno del Perú, 2023). We have identified the population of the Lima, Ucayali, San Martín, Huánuco, Madre de Dios, and Loreto departments as the target market, which we plan to reach in the first 5 years of the project. We will focus on Peruvians aged 18 to 65, belonging to socio-economic levels D and E, who seek to improve the quality of water for consumption. The added value of the product lies in obtaining quality water, completely free of particles and contaminants that could pose a risk to people’s health. Our goal is to expand access to quality water in rural areas, through the application of innovation, sustainability, social awareness, and the creation of effective and affordable solutions. With an initial investment of S/ 549 281, projecting an expected NPV of S/ 4 007, 226, and an IRR value of 262%.
