Abstract
En este artículo retrato algunos aspectos contrastantes del chitonte como objeto de comercio turístico y como prenda de vestir. En setiembre y octubre de 2009, pasé unas semanas en las comunidades shipibo-konibo Charasmaná y La Cumbre en el río Pisqui, afluente del Ucayali.
