Resumen
El presente estudio tiene como propósito sintetizar y analizar la situación de la mujer
de la región Pasco, explicando su dinámica demográfica y características socioeconómicas,
así como recoger las expectativas y obstáculos de las mujeres para la próxima década (2010-
2020).
La investigación tiene un propósito descriptivo, ha utilizado un enfoque cualitativo, y
la recolección de datos se ha realizado principalmente mediante entrevistas a profundidad. La
estrategia cualitativa utilizada es la de los casos de estudio múltiples bajo un estudio
holístico. La muestra de 26 mujeres ha sido construida utilizando una combinación de las
técnicas bola de nieve y máxima variación considerando las siguientes dimensiones: edad,
estado civil, nivel educativo, nivel económico, y actividad laboral.
Dentro de las conclusiones que se obtuvieron en el estudio fueron que la mujer en la
región Pasco, está mejorando su nivel educativo, salud reproductiva y presencia en la
actividad económica, principalmente en agricultura y comercio; asimismo, manifestaron
enfocar sus esfuerzos en el bienestar y desarrollo de sus hijos; sin embargo, en cuanto a su
participación en política, esta, aún es baja o casi nula.
Finalmente se recomienda mayor participación del gobierno con programas y/o
políticas, así como la de empresas privadas para continuar impulsando el desarrollo de la
mujer de la región Pasco, y mejorar su situación actual.
The purpose of this report is to examine and analyze the situation of women from Pasco region. It also seeks to explain the population dynamics, collecting their expectations and obstacles for the next decade (2010 – 2020). The research used a qualitative focusing and data collection was mainly realized through interviews. The qualitative strategy used is the multiple case studies applying a holistic study. The sample about 26 women has been built using a combination of snowball method and maximum variation considering: age, marital status, educational level, income and employability skills. Including the conclusions obtained by the study was women from Pasco region is improving her educational level, reproductive level and participating mainly in agriculture and trade but expressed a focus on welfare and development of their children. Also their participation in politics but it is still low or almost null. Finally it is recommended a greater government involvement creating programs and policies as well as private companies to continue the development of women from Pasco region and improve their current situation.
