Abstract
El presente trabajo fue elaborado con el propósito de poder formular un Plan
Estratégico Aplicado (PEA) para el sector agroindustrial para la Región Piura. La
metodología utilizada fue el Modelo Secuencial del Proceso de D´Alessio (2014), el cual
consiste en analizar la situación actual y su relación con la agroindustria, establecer una
misión, visión, valores y código de ética para el sector agroindustrial, posteriormente analizar
en ambiente externo e interno a fin de determinar las fortalezas, debilidades, oportunidades y
amenazas, y posteriormente elaborar estrategias las cuales sirven de enlace para la
materialización de los objetivos tanto de corto como de largo plazo, el debido alineamiento
de estos elementos permitirán conseguir la ansiada misión establecida para el sector
agroindustrial en la Región Piura.
Los principales hallazgos en el presente trabajo fueron la ausencia de una misión y
objetivos a largo plazo para el sector agroindustrial, la etapa incipiente en que se encuentra el
desarrollo de la agroindustria en la Región Piura y el gran potencial de productos como la
uva, el limón, el mango entre otros que pueden ser utilizados para elaborar productos de valor
agregado. Así mismo, Región Piura posee una serie de fortalezas como el clima acorde, la
cercanía de puertos, la experiencia agrícola, y oportunidades como el de penetrar distintos
mercados como el asiático, la necesidad de realizar asociaciones de agricultores tipo
clústeres, y el aprovechar al máximo los proyectos de irrigación como el del Alto Piura.
Finalmente como principales recomendaciones se mencionan el implementar el presente PEA
en bajo la tutela del Gobierno Regional, desarrollar clústeres agroindustriales, implementar
integración vertical con los diversos productores, así como el de penetrar los distintos
mercados nacionales e internacionales
The present work was elaborated with the purpose of being able to formulate an Applied Strategic Plan for the agroindustrial sector for the Region Piura. The methodology used was based on the elaboration of a comprehensive strategic plan according to D'Alessio (2014), which consists of analyzing the current situation and its relationship with agroindustry, establishing a mission, vision, values and code of ethics for the agroindustrial sector, later to analyze in external and internal environment in order to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and later to elaborate strategies that serve as a link for the materialization of the short and long term objectives, the due alignment of these elements will allow to achieve the desired mission established for the agroindustrial sector in the Piura Region. The main findings in the present study are the absence of a long-term mission and objectives for the agroindustrial sector, the incipient stage in the development of agroindustry in the Piura Region and the great potential of products such as grapes, lemon, mango among others that can be used to produce value-added products. Likewise, Piura Region has a number of strengths such as the climate, the proximity of ports, agricultural experience, and opportunities such as penetrating different markets such as the Asian, the need to make associations of farmer’s type clusters, and take advantage of maximum irrigation projects such as that of Alto Piura. Finally, the main recommendations are the implementation of this Strategic Plan under the supervision of the Regional Government, the development of agroindustrial clusters, vertical integration with the various producers, as well as the penetration of the different national and international markets
