Resumen
La presente tesis de investigación teórico-artística, con gran aporte documental, aborda la
arqueología como disciplina que consolida verdades históricas, y las plataformas que les
otorgan validez. De este modo, Reconstrucciones Imaginarias indaga en los factores que
explican la creación y destrucción de una forma de historia, así como en los mecanismos
utilizados por las plataformas de legitimación para definir el valor de las diferentes
perspectivas sobre la historia. Por ello esta investigación plantea la siguiente interrogante: ¿es
posible que existan diferentes verdades desde las cuales se ha construido nuestra historia y
que sean los mecanismos que poseen las plataformas de legitimación los que determinen el
valor que les atribuimos a dichas verdades? El proyecto ha sido abordado a través de la
historia de un objeto cultural: la interpretación de los templos de Cerro Blanco y Punkurí
realizada por Julio C. Tello en 1938 en el Museo Nacional de Arqueología Antropología e
Historia del Perú. El objetivo de la tesis es reflexionar sobre las condiciones que permiten
maximizar o minimizar un hecho determinado en la construcción de la historia. Asimismo,
pretende rescatar el valor que tienen las diferentes narrativas o relatos en la construcción de la
verdad histórica y evidenciar los mecanismos utilizados en las plataformas de legitimación
para consolidar dichas verdades. En síntesis, este escrito busca estudiar cómo estamos
construyendo y contando nuestra historia.
The present theoretical-artistic, with great documentary contribution, research thesis deals with archeology as a discipline that consolidates historical truths, and the platforms that give them validity. In this way, Reconstrucciones Imaginarias investigates the factors that explain the creation and destruction of a form of history, as well as the mechanisms used by legitimation platforms to define the value of different perspectives on history. That is why this research raises the following question: is it possible that there are different truths from which our history has been built and that it is the mechanisms that legitimation platforms possess that determine the value we attribute to these truths? The project has been approached through the history of a cultural object: the interpretation of the temples of Cerro Blanco and Punkurí created by Julio C. Tello in 1938 in the National Museum of Anthropology History and Archeology of Peru. The objective of the thesis is to reflect on the conditions that allow maximizing or minimizing a given fact in the construction of history. It also seeks to rescue the value of the different narratives or stories in the construction of historical truth and to demonstrate the mechanisms used in the legitimation platforms to consolidate these truths. In summary, this paper seeks to study how we are building and telling our history.
