Resumen
Se identificó una oportunidad de negocio en el sector odontológico e industria alimentaria
de Lima Metropolitana y Callao, como es la enorme necesidad insatisfecha de los miles de
clientes y millones de usuarios debido al tiempo de espera prolongado y el incremento de precios
del alginato importado. Este mercado tiene un potencial de crecimiento del 3% anual según
proyecciones del Ministerio Economía y Finanzas MEF, esto representa un potencial 2,8
millones usuarios cuyo importe estimado en ventas para el primer año es de US$ 677mil dicho
monto representa el 10% del mercado potencial capturado por nuestro modelo de negocio.
El presente trabajo de investigación propone elaborar un modelo de negocio para obtener
alginato de sodio a partir de algas pardas de tipo Macrosystis proveniente del litoral de Marcona
Perú. Dicho producto único en características y beneficios de bajo costo y mejor calidad
valorado por los clientes. Según encuesta realizada el 95% de los clientes afirma que compraría
nuestro producto en caso estar disponible. Para lo cual nuestra estrategia e implementación de
marketing se distingue por su propuesta única en ventas como es la habilidad para proveer el
producto a sus clientes más rápidamente que cualquiera de sus competidores.
El modelo de negocio requiere una inversión de US$ 450mil para la construcción
equipamiento y capital de trabajo de la planta de alginato en Marcona, puesta en marcha el
modelo de negocio propone ofrecer una rentabilidad del 32% a los acreedores e inversionistas.
Dichos inversionistas podrían recuperar su inversión en tres años a través de los flujos de caja
libre generado por el negocio cuyo resultado medido a través del valor actual neto VAN es de
US$ 842mil a un costo promedio ponderado WACC del 10.3%. El modelo de negocio propuesto
tiene un impacto positivo en los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible ODS N° 8,13 y 14 con un
valor actual neto social de US$ 618mil a una tasa de descuento social de 8%.
A business opportunity was identified in the dental sector and the food industry of Metropolitan Lima and Callao, such as the enormous unsatisfied need of the thousands of clients and millions of users due to the long waiting time and the increase in prices of imported alginate. This market has a growth potential of 3% per year according to projections of the Ministry of Economy and Finance MEF, this represents a potential 2.8 million users whose estimated amount in sales for the first year is US $677 thousand, said amount represents 10% of the potential market captured by our business model. This research work proposes to develop a business model to obtain sodium alginate from Macrosystis-type brown algae from the Marcona Peru coast. Said unique product in features and benefits of low cost and better quality valued by customers. According to a survey carried out, 95% of customers affirm that they would buy our product if it were available. For which our marketing strategy and implementation is distinguished by its unique selling proposition such as the ability to deliver product to your customers faster than any of your competitors. The business model requires an investment of US$450,000 for the construction of equipment and working capital for the alginate plant in Marcona. Once the business model is launched, it proposes to offer a 32% return to creditors and investors. These investors could recover their investment in two years through the free cash flows generated by the business whose result measured through the net present value NPV is US $842 thousand at a weighted average cost WACC of 10.3%. The proposed business model has a positive impact on the sustainable development objectives SDGs No. 8, 13 and 14 with a social net present value of US $618 thousand at a social discount rate of 8%.
