Abstract
This research begins with the identification of a problem that affects many second grade children in a public school in the Piura region: the lack of understanding of texts as a consequence of their little reading habit. During the research process, it was found that it is possible to encourage children's interest in reading, through the use of a didactic tool according to their needs and tastes. For this reason, “MAGIKBUM” is created, a design project focused on promoting reading comprehension in second grade children of a public school in Piura, through an application that contains children's stories, so that students interact and put into practice the habit reading and develop the ability to comprehend texts. The proposal shows that reading is the most powerful magic of all, because with it, students can experience various adventures. This tool contributes to the stimulation and understanding of stories. For this reason, it innovates through education, with the objective of the “MAGIKBUM” project for children to develop their ability to read and understand what a text says, while discovering a reflective talent and increasing their vocabulary with each adventure told.
