Abstract
The present research topic is about the students' perception of their participation with the ICT tools applied in the learning sessions of the fifth grade classroom of a public school in Lima. From this, the research problem is generated: What is the perception of fifth grade students in relation to their participation with ICT tools in the development of learning experiences? It is proposed as a general objective, to know the perceptions of students about their participation in learning experiences with ICT tools. Likewise, two objectives are proposed: to identify and describe the ICTs used by students in learning experiences and to inquire about the perception that specific students have about their participation with them. The methodology of this study is descriptive qualitative applying two instruments: a questionnaire and an interview. The theoretical foundation of this research is based on the proposals of categories which detach from the objectives. The results obtained show that students prefer ICT because it makes their work easier. In addition, they feel enthusiasm for the novelty. Regarding their participation, the students mostly indicate that it improves with the use of ICT, while the minority indicates the opposite. Low connectivity, distractions and lack of ICT knowledge influence low participation. In conclusion, students who do not present difficulties when using ICT have a positive perspective on these and improve their participation.
