Abstract
El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo principal desarrollar los procesos, tanto desde la
dirección como la dirección de fotografía, por los que se pasó para poder realizar el
documental Lo que no pude contar. Este es un proyecto audiovisual que se viene trabajando
desde inicios del 2019 y cuya finalidad es explorar el tema de las violaciones en pareja, las
cuales son comunes en nuestra sociedad, pero no son discutidas de manera pública. Esto se
debe, principalmente, debido al concepto que se tiene de lo que es una violación, por lo que
muchas mujeres tienen problema en denominar su experiencia vivida como tal.
Para poder llevar a cabo este documental se inició con una investigación sobre los conceptos
y teorías que abordan el tema de la violación sexual en pareja desde diversas perspectivas
(psicológica, sexual, legal, etc). Posteriormente se realizó la convocatoria para conocer a las
participantes con las cuales trabajaríamos y finalmente se inició el proceso del documental en
sí mismo, el cual cuenta con tres etapas: el diálogo, la búsqueda y la puesta en escena. La
finalidad de este documental es poder crear un ambiente que les permita dar un primer paso
para poder hablar del tema de manera libre y sin ser juzgadas. Y a partir de esto visibilizar el
efecto que tiene en la vida de las mujeres la violación sexual en pareja y la importancia de ser
discutidas de manera más abierta.
The aim of the following essay is to explain the processes used by the director and the cinematographer to make Lo que no pude contar. This documentary started at the beginning of 2019 as a project whose main purpose was to explore a type of sexual violence that is very common in our society but at the same time very hidden and not socially discussed, that is rape within a couple. It was necessary to bring light to this subject and deconstruct the concept that many people have of what a rape is so that women living this type of violence within a couple would finally recognize what it was and call it by its name: a rape. The first step in the process towards making this documentary was a thorough investigation about the different concepts and theories surrounding the theme of sexual violence within a couple. Different perspectives such as psychological, legal and sexual were taken into account. The next step was to release an announcement calling for all the girls who wanted to participate in this documentary, our team met with each one of the girls who responded and after explaining to them what the documentary was about, three girls chose to participate in it. After this, shootings started. The process of filming this documentary was divided into three parts: the dialogue, the search and the staging. Throughout the whole process the main aim was to create an environment that allowed each girl to give a first step towards being able to talk about their violent sexual experiences with freedom and without feeling judged. From this we hope to bring attention to the effect that rape within a couple has on a woman’s life and how important it is to discuss this openly.
