Cuando se dialoga sobre la satisfacción laboral, es inevitable que se realice una reflexión en torno a la relación del trabajo con la percepción con la que cuentan los colaboradores en torno al mismo. Esto puede llevarles a mejorar su compromiso e interés por las decisiones y objetivos organizacionales, o, por el contrario, verse como agentes externos a la empresa de la que participan. Por ello, es que, en las últimas décadas, el análisis de la satisfacción laboral parece trasladarse a un terreno multidisciplinar con una visión más social y humana, considerando nociones de desarrollo y bienestar, que poco se relacionan con el objetivo de las empresas tradicionales de únicamente ver por los recursos. Así, el velar por el equilibrio y el crecimiento de las personas en todos sus ámbitos no es un compromiso que parezca alejado de las organizaciones contemporáneas, las cuales, bajo un perfil de responsabilidad social, pueden aportar considerables al florecimiento humano de sus colaboradores
