Crisis, democratización y reproducción: el potencial revolucionario de un arte sin aura

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze Walter Benjamin’s proposal on the revolutionary potential of art with the change in its conditions of production and reception. To this end, we will study the social and political impact of the emergence of art without aura, which challenges the authority of the aesthetic object and establishes new connections with its audience. We will examine the risks brought about by the democratization of art to understand how the critical power of post-aura art opens up a collective space for questioning and transforming established structures.

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar la propuesta de Walter Benjamin sobre la posibilidad revolucionaria del arte con el cambio de sus condiciones de producción y recepción. Para ello se estudiará el impacto social y político del surgimiento de un arte sin aura que pone en crisis la autoridad del objeto estético, y que establece nuevas conexiones con su público receptor. Se examinarán los riesgos que ha traído consigo la democratización del arte para comprender de qué manera el poder crítico del arte posaurático inaugura un espacio colectivo para el cuestionamiento y transformación de estructuras establecidas.
