Doña Genoveva Núñez Herrera: El retablo ayacuchano desde otro lugar

Abstract

This paper studies the variations and contributions of master artist Genoveva Núñez Herrera to the Ayacucho retablo of the XXI century, identifying the elements of her oral tradition, life and personality that have pervaded into her visual work and characterized her artistic style. Additionally, delving into the professional aspect of the marriage Jesús Urbano Rojas – Genoveva Núñez Herrera, the present document contributes to the understanding of the Master-Disciple relationships and its symbiotic dynamics in the Andean folk artist workshop in general and the Retablo workshop in particular.Se estudian las variaciones y aportes de la maestra doña Genoveva Núñez Herrera al retablo ayacuchano del siglo XXI, identificando los elementos de su tradición oral, vida y personalidad que han permeado en su obra plástica y caracterizado su estilo artístico. Adicionalmente, se profundiza en el aspecto profesional del matrimonio Jesús Urbano Rojas - Genoveva Núñez Herrera, a fin de contribuir al entendimiento sobre la relación maestro-discípulo y sus dinámicas simbióticas en los talleres de arte tradicional andino en general y los talleres de retablista en particular.
