“Hoy se pierde un diente mañana un ovario”: Envejecimiento, enfermedad y exceso en Noches de adrenalina de Carmen Ollé

Abstract

This paper proposes, through the examination of excess and the residual elements, that in Carmen Ollé's Noches de adrenalina (1981), erotic desire and sexual consummation question and subvert the registers that are typically used to construct the figure of the “other”, the “old woman”. Aging is represented through exaggerated images of bodily deterioration that construct the poetic voice as an abject “other”, whose body is no longer healthy nor a typical object of erotic desire. The abject is represented not only in the exaggerated manifestations of symptoms but also accompanies the sexual behavior of the poetic voice, which anachronistically contradicts conventional expectations of an older woman.

El trabajo propone, a partir del registro del exceso y lo residual, que en Noches de adrenalina (1981) de Carmen Ollé, el deseo erótico y la consumación sexual cuestionan y subvierten los registros que comúnmente se emplean para construir la figura del “otro”, de la “mujer vieja”. El envejecimiento se representa mediante imágenes exageradas del deterioro del cuerpo que construyen a la voz poética como un “otro” abyecto, cuyo cuerpo ya no es sano ni un típico objeto de deseo erótico. Lo abyecto se representa no solo en las manifestaciones exageradas de los síntomas, sino acompaña al comportamiento sexual de la voz poética, que se contrapone de manera anacrónica con las expectativas que se tienen convencionalmente de una mujer mayor.
