The objective of this paper is to present the level of achievement of the specific competencies of the PUCP Psychology study plan, seen through the pre-professional practices carried out in a psychological clinical care center. The activities were aimed at diagnosing, intervening and evaluating with regard to emotional, behavioral and family coexistence problems; to prevent emotional problems and violence; and to promote civic attitude. Vocational, clinical, learning and language diagnostic processes were carried out. As an intervention, results were returned and guidance was given to mothers, fathers and teachers; psychological support for children, an adolescent, a young person and an average adult; workshops for people of all age groups; and dictation of a subject: Personal Development, Citizenship and Civics. A substantial improvement was obtained in aspects such as family interaction, reading comprehension and a decrease in antisocial behavior; and improves aspects such as tolerance to frustration and social skills. 60% of students obtained a learning criterion achieved in the course taught; and 90% understood the learning from the workshops. As resources for diagnosis, intervention and evaluation, various methods were applied (for example, interviews, questionnaires, psychological tests, anecdotal and behavioral records) following the systemic approach with some methods from the psychodynamic and psychometric approach.
