Abstract
El objetivo de este artículo es presentar el flujo de artistas y obras escultóricas desde España a los nuevos territorios incorporados a la Corona de Castilla, especialmente al virreinato del Perú. Se analiza una serie de esculturas religiosas en la ciudad de Lima, así como en algunas ciudades de Chile. Igualmente, se estudia, mediante la documentación de varios archivos, el tipo de obras que se enviaban o se encargaban en la época.
The objective of this article is to describe the flow of artists and sculptural works from Spain to the new territories incorporated into the Crown of Castile, with a special focus on the Viceroyalty of Peru. A series of religious sculptures are analized in the city of Lima, as well as in some Chilean cities. Likewise, the type of works that were sent or ordered during that time is studied based on documentation of different archives.
