El presente estudio tiene por objetivo medir el nivel de felicidad integral del distrito
de Santiago de Surco, Lima-Perú, en base a nueve componentes: bienestar psicológico, la
conservación de la salud, uso del tiempo, la vitalidad comunitaria, experiencias educativas, la
diversidad cultural, los problemas ecológicos, la calidad de gobernabilidad y el nivel de vida;
utilizando una adaptación de la encuesta de Felicidad Interna Bruta realizada en Paraguay por
el Centro Superior de Estudios de Administración y Finanzas en un Bicentenario del 2011,
inicialmente creada en Bután. Este estudio tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, con alcance
exploratorio y descriptivo y se realizó en 400 personas del distrito de Santiago de Surco, con
distribuciones equitativas en cuanto al género y analizando los resultados en base al grupo de
edad y sector de residencia del evaluado dentro del distrito. Los resultados señalan que el
nivel de felicidad integral de la muestra es medianamente feliz, no obstante, existen
diferencias significativas de acuerdo a género, a la edad y al sector del distrito; y en las
dimensiones de diversidad cultural, calidad de la gobernabilidad, nivel de vida, y el uso del
tiempo. Por último, la adaptación de la encuesta de Felicidad Interna Bruta, posee alta
confiabilidad y con una consistencia interna de 0.930 indicando que cuenta con una estructura
interna excelente según el Alpha de Cronbach, que permitirá la utilización de la herramienta
en muestras con características similares.
The objective of this study is to measure the level of happiness of the district of Santiago de Surco, Lima-Peru, based on nine components: psychological well-being, Conservation of health, Use of free time, community vitality, education experiences, culture diversity, environmental problems, government quality and quality of life; using an adaptation of the Gross National Happiness survey conducted in Paraguay by the Superior Center Studies of Administrations and Finance in the Bicentenial of 2011, based on the Gross National Happiness Survey created in Bhutan. This study had a quantitative approach, with exploratory and descriptive scope and was carried out in 400 people from the district of Santiago de Surco, with equitable distributions in terms of gender and analyzing the results based on the age group and sector of residence of the evaluated within the district. The results indicate a predominance of the average level of happiness in the sample, significant differences according to gender at the level of cultural diversity and quality of governance, significant differences according to age in the standard of living and according to the sector of Santiago de Surco where they reside, regarding the Use of Time. Finally, the adaptation of the Gross Internal Happiness survey has high reliability and sufficient evidence of validity due to a 0.930 in the Cronbach´s Alpha indicator meaning that its internal structure allows the use of the survey in samples with similar characteristics.
