Resumen
La presente investigación plantea como objetivo conocer cómo es que se construye el sentido de
comunidad, y cómo se desarrolla la participación comunitaria por parte de los(as) adolescentes
trabajadores de la base de Yerbateros de MANTHOC. Para ello se realizaron 9 entrevistas a través de
una Guía de Entrevista construida en base al marco teórico, la cual, además, fue constatada con una
entrevista piloto a un adolescente del MANTHOC. Se realizó un análisis sistemático de datos
cualitativos desde el marco analítico de la teoría fundamentada. Los resultados muestran que existe el
Sentido de Comunidad (SdC) entre los(as) miembros de MANTHOC en tanto reportan sentirse parte,
y considerarla como comunidad, además se satisfacen necesidades concretas, así como de corte
emocional. Esto último relaciona la vinculación afectiva hacia la base de Yerbateros, y de los
miembros(as) con quienes comparten. Por otro lado, la participación comunitaria tiene una vinculación
con el componente de influencia del SdC, en tanto la toma de decisiones y resolución de conflictos
responde a una metodología participativa usada por los(as) miembros del movimiento. Asimismo, se
resalta la interdependencia entre el grado de compromiso y participación de los(as) adolescentes, lo
que además refleja la correspondencia con el MANTHOC y un fuerte sentimiento de formar parte del
grupo y contribuir a su desarrollo y sostenimiento.
The objective of this research is to find out how the sense of community is formed, and how community participation is developed by the adolescents who work at the MANTHOC Yerbateros base. For this, 9 interviews were conducted through an Interviewed Guide built on the basis of theory of the constructs of sense of community and community participation, which, in addition, was verified with a pilot interview to a MANTHOC teenager. The results show that there is a sense of community (SC) among the members of MANTHOC as they report feeling part, considering it as a community, where specific needs are met, as well as emotionally. The latter relates the affective bonding to the base of Yerbateros, and of the members with whom they share it. On the other hand, community participation has a link with the influence component of the SC, while decision-making and conflict resolution respond to a participatory methodology used by the members of the movement. Likewise, the interdependence between the degree of commitment and participation of the adolescents is highlighted, which also reflects the correspondence with MANTHOC and a strong feeling of being part of the group and contributing to its development and sustainability.
