The following innovative project aims to find a solution to reduce the “increase in cases of cervical and breast cancer in young and adult women in Metropolitan Lima”. From 2013 to 2018, the diagnosed cases of cervical cancer in young women increased from 79 to 106 cases and in adult women from 1240 to 1662 cases, while for breast cancer the increased from 99 to 2012 cases and in adult women from 3407 to 5569 cases. For which it was determined what determined what its causes would be, being a rather complex problem, the causes were divided into two groups, firstly, those susceptible to modification which includes sexual behavior (early initiation of sexual relations, the number and type sexual partners), an unhealthy lifestyle (overweight, obesity, tobacco and alcohol consumption) and the health system itself, specifically the lack of preventive and promotional strategies); and secondly those not susceptible to modification, where we find the gynecological-obstetric history (previous illnesses, infections, hormonal use, parity and lactation) and the family history. Given this classification, it was decided to work with the first group, since, being preventable, treatable or modifiable, they will allow in the long term to reduce the appearance of new cases, we focus on insufficient promotional preventive strategies, unhealthy lifestyle and behavior sexual. Once the identification of causes was concluded, those that showed a significant impact on the problem were categorized; then this was reformulated and the following challenge was established: How can we improve promotional preventive strategies for young and adult women in order to decrease the cases of cervical and breast cancer? After the ordering of ideas and according to the selection criteria, a winner was reached, whose general objective is to reinforce and improve promotional preventive strategies, the approach ill not only reduce the increase in cases of cervical and breast cancer, but also to empower women in their self-care by providing easy-to-use tools and additionally allow health professionals to provide more efficient care, this idea was named “WarmiSALUD”. The innovation prototype is made up of two axes bases on the use of technology and three main ideas, which will allow us to respond to the innovation challenge. The first axis is based on the development of a database of use by health personnel and the second on the creation of a mobile application for user use; while the main ideas are firstly the modification of behavior and not only the generation of knowledge, secondly, the improvement of lifestyles and thirdly the application of preventive promotional strategies with the help of technology.
