Abstract
El poder ejecutivo ha impulsado en Chile recientemente la modificación de dos leyes que son los pilares de la regulación de la Propiedad Industrial en Chile. Dichos cambios normativos vienen en actualizar un sistema vigente que data desde el año 1991. Existen cambios sustanciales en las materias relacionadas con marcas comerciales, patentes de invención y dibujos y diseños industriales, los cuales reflejan los estándares internacionales adquiridos en la materia y regulan un Derecho que al estar sumamente ligado a la innovación se encuentra en constante cambio.
The executive branch has recently promoted in Chile the modification of two laws that are the pillars of the regulation of Industrial Property in Chile. These modifications are focused on updating a current system that dates from 1991. There are substantial changes in matters related to trademarks, patents and industrial drawings and designs, which reflect the international standards acquired in the field and regulate a Law, that being extremely linked to innovation, is constantly changing.
