Abstract

El derecho a la reserva y confidencialidad de la relación médica como manifestación del derecho constitucional a la intimidad no ha merecido un tratamiento suficiente en el país.Es por ello que en el presente artículo se tratar de explicar la naturaleza de este derecho y el lugar que ocupa en el ámbito sanitario. En ese sentido, se detallan sus principales características, sus excepciones, resaltando tres de ellas, y los retos que tiene en el país.

The right to confidentiality of the medical relationship as a manifestation of the constitutional right to privacy has not merited sufficient treatment in the country. That is why in this article we try to explain the nature of this right and the place it occupies in the health system. In that sense, its main characteristics, its exceptions are outlined, highlighting three of them, and the challenges it has in the country.
