El Nuevo Código Procesal Penal peruano establece un modelo acusatorio, donde el fiscal investiga y acusa, y el juez solo decide, priorizando el juicio oral, el debate público y la igualdad procesal, reemplazando el antiguo sistema inquisitivo.
