Item Metadata only Percepción estudiantil sobre el uso de una plataforma colaborativa de realidad virtual en el aprendizaje de asignaturas de ciencias(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2023-09-29) Zuñe Chero, Limberg; Romero Paredes, Rolando; Idrogo Burga, EdinzonThe objective of this study is to explore the perceptions of university students regarding the use of Second Life as a collaborative virtual reality platform for learning science subjects. A cross-sectional non-experimental descriptive analytical empirical research design was employed, utilizing quantitative techniques to gather data from 123 students regarding their experiences with immersion. The results reveal that students exhibited genuine engagement with the virtual environment, displaying high levels of interaction and motivation, which in turn increased their level of participation in immersive activities. These findings suggest that incorporating science content into a virtual world offers diverse didactic possibilities and encourages new forms of engagement among participants in educational processes. The study highlights the potential of virtual reality for enhancing higher education practices.Item Metadata only Indagación sobre prácticas de autoevaluación en estudiantes peruanos de educación superior: un estudio exploratorio(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2023-09-29) Gallardo Córdova, Katherina Edith; Clemente-Tristan, AracelyThis study examined the self-assessment learning practices of student teachers in Peru. The research design employed an exploratory approach, and the sample consisted of 201 students, predominantly women, aged between 20 and 24 years. The Learning Self-Assessment Questionnaire, previously validated in Ecuador and Mexico, was adapted and used to ensure content validity for the Peruvian context. The findings revealed that the students relied more on self-grading processes, primarily for summative purposes, rather than engaging in self-evaluations with formative intentions. Consequently, they lacked the ability to effectively utilize self-assessment information to regulate their own learning, thereby limiting the development of metacognitive processes. This finding is paradoxical considering that these student teachers will be responsible for facilitating the learning processes of future students. The study concludes with suggestions for future research aimed at strengthening the culture of self-assessment.Item Metadata only Software educativo para la formulación de proyectos de investigación(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2023-09-29) Contreras Núñez, Joel; Alejandra Calle Vilca, MónicaThis article presents the results of the implementation of the educational software called Sistproy in the learning of university students of research subjects from the elaboration of the consistency matrix and results matrix oriented to the formulation of basic, applied and technological thesis projects. The quantitative research used a sample of 39 students of Electrical Engineering of the Continental University enrolled in the subject Research Workshop I, who were selected by non-random convenience sampling and then classified into experimental and control groups. It is concluded that the use of the educational software improves the students’ learning, detecting superiority in the scores obtained and notable progress in the elaboration of the thesis project.Item Metadata only Aplicación de Kahoot como herramienta educativa para la enseñanza(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2022-10-05) Machaca-Huamanhorcco, ElsaThe research allowed demonstrating the effect of the Kahoot tool in the development of the competence constructs historical interpretations in second year high school students of an educational institution of the Socabaya district located in the Arequipa region. The study corresponds to a quantitative approach of quasi-experimental design applied to a sample of 52 students. The results of the research showed that after the application of Kahoot, the effects in the experimental group showed statistically significant differences, since most students were at the satisfactory achievement level, with a considerable decrease in the number of students at the level prior to the start and at the beginning; on the other hand, the control group maintained almost homogeneous results from one level to another.Item Metadata only La enseñanza, el aprendizaje y el conocimiento científico desde la perspectiva de futuros profesores de Ciencias Naturales(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2022-03-18) Guirado Ariza, Ana María; Gimenez Perez, Yanina; Mazzitelli Lanzone, ClaudiaThis article presents an investigation developed in the context of initial teacher training in Natural Sciences, from a qualitative perspective, with the aim of identifying social representations related to teaching, learning, and scientific knowledge, in order to analyze and compare them. We worked with two cohorts of teacher students in the subject of pedagogical training. An evocation and hierarchization technique and a technique with images were used to identify the representations. The results show different representations in each cohort, with some common characteristics in relation to the subjects and specific scientific knowledge. They also show the need to encourage instances of reflection to help train teachers capable of overcoming their own limitations and who are critical of their own task.Item Metadata only Inteligencia artificial y los entornos personales de aprendizaje: atentos al uso adecuado de los recursos tecnológicos de los estudiantes universitarios(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2022-03-18) Castillejos López, BereniceArtificial intelligence (AI) has invaded learning spaces seeking to revolutionize education. Content creators on social networks like TikTok share hacks or academic tricks to facilitate the development of student tasks, but sometimes what they share are nothing more than tools of unethical practices that are used in the deliverables that the teacher programs. Therefore, the purpose of this essay is to reflect on the impact that artificial intelligence generates in the personal learning environments of university centenarians from academic hacks and tools to carry out unethical practices in the classroom. As a conclusion, it is obtained that the critical and creative thinking of the linguistic and logical-mathematical intelligence are affected when the student applies this type of tools. A problem of human values in the apprentice is identified.
