Research focused on exposing the scope of corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategies of micro and small companies of the Metropolitan District of Quito, Ecuador, as well as their contribution to the sustainable development of the city. The analysis unit is considered to be several small companies belonging to the Chamber of Small and Medium Industry of Pichincha CAPEIPI (by its acronym in Spanish), as well as other micro companies that agreed to be part of the investigation. Through interviews, the guidelines of a business code of conduct will be determined on basic issues of corporate social responsibility, as well as elementary concepts of sustainable development. Based on the information collected, it is intended to establish a situational diagnosis of how the MSMEs of the Metropolitan District of Quito are doing in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility considering strategies and practices applied in their activities.
