The research consisted in the application and validation of the Program of Access to the Oral Lexicon (PRACLO) having as objective the improvement and increase of the level of comprehensive vocabulary in children of six years of age with Down Syndrome of two CEBEs of Metropolitan Lima. We used the type of quasi-experimental research and an experimental design, where the study sample consisted of twelve children, six children for the experimental group and six children for the control group, the first group was applied the Access Program to the Oral Lexicon "PRACLO" while the other group does not. For this research, the PPVT-III Peabody - Vocabulary Picture Test was used to measure the comprehensive performance of the lexicon, applying both pre- and post-test to both groups. At the end of the investigation, it was possible to verify the general hypothesis since the application of the "PRACLO" program favored the improvement of the comprehensive vocabulary of children of 6 years of age with Down Syndrome, observing the superior results obtained by the experimental group. On the other hand, analyzing the results of the control group, differences were also observed; however, they were unfavorable considering the decrease in their performance.
