Sentido de autoeficacia percibida frente a la diversidad cultural en docentes voluntarios de aulas hospitalarias

Abstract

El presente estudio, bajo un enfoque cualitativo y un diseño exploratorio, tuvo como objetivo comprender el sentido de autoeficacia percibida frente a la diversidad cultural en un grupo de ocho docentes hospitalarios voluntarios, pertenecientes al programa de aulas hospitalarios Aprendo Contigo, que educan a niños, niñas y adolescentes en dos hospitales de Lima, Perú. Para el recojo de datos se realizaron entrevistas semi estructuradas en base a una guía de entrevista. Los resultados presentan que todas las participantes del estudio refieren un alto nivel de satisfacción general ante la enseñanza en aulas hospitalarias. Además, solo la mitad de las participantes refieren un alto sentido de autoeficacia ante la diversidad cultural. Se reportan también dificultades percibidas como la barrera lingüística, la disposición de los niños, el racismo, entre otros.

The present study, under a qualitative approach and an exploratory design, aimed to understand the sense of perceived self-efficacy in the face of cultural diversity in a group of eight volunteer hospital teachers, belonging to the Aprendo Contigo hospital classroom program, who educate children, girls and adolescents in two hospitals in Lima, Peru. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were conducted based on an interview guide. The results show that all study participants report a high level of general satisfaction with teaching in hospital classrooms. In addition, only half of the participants report a high sense of self efficacy in the face of cultural diversity. Difficulties perceived as the linguistic barrier, the disposition of the children, racism, among others, are also reported.
