The methodology of this research is qualitative, therefore, it was based on the collection of information from various documents such as books, reports, articles and decrees. This work not only seeks to inform the educational reality of Peru, but to reflect on these educational management processes in rural areas, since they are the places forgotten by the State. In this way, when reviewing the various documents in relation to educational management in rural education, the existence of poor performance of directors on educational management was verified through the latest result of the National Census and the report of the Ombudsman's Office. Therefore, the case study addressed in this work shows that principals must have leadership by developing adequate administrative management, pedagogical management and school climate to facilitate effective educational management. Likewise, all this contributes to good academic performance, educational continuity and school completion.
